Drug Rep/Medical Device Rep/Other Rep Policy

Applies to:

All interactions between The MIND, its affiliates and employees, and all pharmaceutical companies, medical device companies, and other relevant companies and their employees and representatives.

Intro

We really appreciate all the hard work our reps do to make sure our patients get the best care possible. We’re also happy to hear about your pharmaceuticals, other medical products, services, and educational materials. We know you’re a valuable part of our office and the positive difference you make to our patients through the knowledge, samples, coupons, and co-pay cards you provide. 

Our Policy

  • We are available by appointment only:
  • If you would like to speak with the physicians or staff, please schedule a meal with the front desk by clicking the link below.
  • We are available Monday through Friday from around 12p-12:30p, though times may vary slightly depending on the office or day of the week. Please communicate with the front desk in advance for specific times.
  • Our staff, doctors, and APRNs/PAs plan ahead when a lunch is known to be scheduled. If you must cancel-day of, lunch is still expected to be provided. Frequent last-minute cancellations may result in banning from our offices.
  • Any lunch should follow a buffet style and may be from a place of your choosing. Please contact the office prior to ordering to confirm any drug allergies.
  • Our waiting rooms are secured from the rest of the office. You must check in with the front desk prior to entering.
  • A member of our front desk will escort you to the break area. 
  • We ask you respect our patients' privacy and request you not to roam or wait in our hallway or near exam room doors.
  • Reps will not be permitted in the front desk nor private doctor offices without explicit permission from the on-call/APRN/PA.
  • Our office will advise if samples are required. We will not permit anyone to look at our samples and restock at whim. We will put samples away ourselves and will be glad to have the providers sign for you. If you must speak with a provider, please schedule a follow-up lunch. 
  • Time restraints of our clinic will not allow the physician or APRN/PA to be detailed on your product; kindly schedule a lunch. Depending on how busy we are, you may be allotted a brief, 60 second window to speak with a provider.
  • To promote the cleanliness of our facilities, any materials left in the waiting room without the express written consent from the Practice Manager or Practice Owner will be promptly disposed of.
